Today is a day to recognize that as Thomas Fuller said "Care and diligence bring luck".

If I want great change to happen I have to put in the work. I use to sit around sad, depressed and miserable waiting for life to get better but doubting that it ever would. I felt others had all the good luck and me nothing but bad luck. Blaming all kinds of people for my despair, lashing out at times to those closest to me. Those were some dark times.

Now I see that in reality when opportunity comes knocking it is usually a call to action. I have to do my part in order to create the life meant for me, not slam the door in its face and hide under the covers. You know what even the act of doing something brings about it’s own kind of happiness. Even when things don’t turn out perfect I am proud of my effort. I also now realize that depending on others is easier now that I am more comfortable with myself.

Do I have more luck? I am not sure. Although I now believe I live in abundance and everything I need is on it’s way. The thing is though I may have to stretch a little to reach it.
