Today is a day to recognize that worry does keep away the bad it only keeps you from the seeing the good. This was from my husband this morning, he said put that in you blog and so I am...

These are challenging times for sure and there is so much we do not have control over. I recently read a book (three times in succession) “The Choice” by Edith Eva Egar. The strongest message I got from Edith was the final her mother said to her before she was taken to the gas chamber at Auschwitz “Nobody can take from you what you put in your mind”. Edith survived far worse than any of us could imagine by choosing everyday to get through this day. My interpretation is that she survived for her sister who was with her, sister that was missing and for the memory of parents.

Stories like this show us that through the power of the mind we have the ability to overcome hardships, by looking for the good every day, keeping our compassion and just putting one foot in front of the other and moving forward. When I stop and let of the worry, my husband is right (don’t tell him is said that) I do have a lot of good in my life and so many reasons to believe that when the veil is lifted I will be safe and I will be okay, I have no way of knowing what the greater plan is, what I do know is that whatever it is will be filed with love, laughter and support for each other.
