Today is a day to think about power....

I am in the middle of a holiday at Asilomar " The Refuge by the Sea". This wonderful place was started by a group of powerful women to support the nurturing and growth of more of the same. As I approached the beach in the dark my first night here my first thought was of the raw power of the waves crashing into the shore. Over the days as I have been watching I notice that not every wave is powerful there is one that is strong and creates a big show, it is followed by a group of smaller gentler waves and then the momentum builds again. I see this as a reminder to me that not every moment in life needs to be packed with every ounce of strength I have.  There will be more times when a quiet persistence will be what is required to move forward.
