Today is a day to wonder which of our senses really was first...

Today is a day to wonder which of our senses really was first. I have been investigating some of the scientific theories about why things like EFT, Reiki and some of the energy healing techniques work. One school of thought is that our souls are energy and we inhabit these earthly bodies to experience the five senses and to fulfill a purpose. As just energy we would not know the taste of chocolate, how wonderful is smells after a rain or many other things we can only experience through our five senses.  I wonder then if what we call our sixth sense isn’t really our first and all we will have once we shed our bodies. Not sure really, just wondering.
